The association has undertaken various projects, particularly social events, social gatherings, and various courses, and has donated generously to the rehabilitation center in Neskaupsta\u00f0ur.<\/p><p>In 1994, various representatives of Sj\u00e1lfsbj\u00f6rg visited the association to mark the opening in May of the exhibition &quot;A Society Without Barriers.&quot; Among those who came to Neskaupsta\u00f0ur for this occasion was J\u00f3hann P\u00e9tur Sveinsson, former chairman of Sj\u00e1lfsbj\u00f6rg.<\/p><p>The chairperson of Sj\u00e1lfsbj\u00f6rg in Fjar\u00f0abygg\u00f0 during Sj\u00e1lfsbj\u00f6rg LSH&#x27;s 50th anniversary year in 2009 was Unnur J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir, and during the national association&#x27;s 75th anniversary year in 2019, Hafd\u00eds Eyland G\u00edslad\u00f3ttir was the chairperson of the association.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00c1ri\u00f0 1974 var Sj\u00e1lfsbjargarf\u00e9lag stofna\u00f0 \u00ed Neskaupsta\u00f0.
