The chair allows athletes to participate in shot put, discus, javelin, and hammer throw, and is designed in accordance with the standards of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). The chair was built with support from V\u00e9lsmi\u00f0ja Su\u00f0urlands, Kristj\u00e1n S\u00e6mundsson, and Mj\u00f3lkursamsalan in Selfoss.
