This will be the Council&#x27;s first session since Iceland took its seat on the Human Rights Council at the turn of the year for the 2025-2027 period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Einar Gunnarsson, Iceland&#x27;s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, is participating in the meeting along with representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister&#x27;s Office&#x27;s steering group on human rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting will be held at the Human Rights House at Sigt\u00fan 42 on Thursday, February 6th at 10:00 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting is open to everyone, and we encourage as many people as possible to attend.
