The City Theatre

Wheelchair users receive a ticket price discount, just like other people with disabilities. There is good wheelchair access to and within the theater. There are wheelchair spaces in the Main Hall. The Small Stage has many stairs and no handrail. The New Stage has a proscenium and fixed seating. Theatergoers who use a wheelchair must notify the box office when ordering tickets. There is a wheelchair-accessible restroom. Two P-designated parking spaces are available outside (information from a disabled theatergoer).

Sisters' House, Akureyri
The Assembly House in Akureyri is a protected building, but it is possible to call ahead for events to request accessibility. Seats can be removed for a wheelchair and a ramp can be set up so that people in wheelchairs can get inside.
Tjarnarbíó
Tjarnarbíó is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp from the street to the sidewalk, and entry is directly from the sidewalk. The doors are wide, including the door into the auditorium, which has a designated seating area for wheelchair users. Accessible restroom facilities are also available. When booking tickets, please indicate in the email if the attendee uses a wheelchair. Ticket prices vary depending on the event organizer, and therefore, whether or not a discount is available for disabled patrons for a specific event at Tjarnarbíó is determined on a case-by-case basis.

Small movie theater
Outside Smáralind, there are many designated parking spaces for people with disabilities. Access to the box office and into Smárabíó is good, with an elevator and an escalator. There are four large restrooms for people with disabilities, but the doors are heavy pump-type doors. All auditoriums have wheelchair spaces, though the number varies.
Circle Cinema

Many designated parking spaces outside the building, good accessibility inside. One restroom is designated for people with disabilities, and in the women's restroom, there is one stall that is roomier than the others (suitable for those with limited mobility who can walk, use crutches, or a walker, but not enough space for wheelchairs). Wheelchair seating is in two sections, sections 1 and 2, but in section 3, a wheelchair can be at the side of the row where you enter the section.
University Cinema

Two designated parking spaces for people with disabilities are located outside the building, right by the entrance. Ticket sales are on the first floor. Wheelchair seating is available in all upstairs rooms, but not in the downstairs room. For those who cannot use the stairs, there is a small fee to access the elevator to the lower level, which is operated by a key held by staff. There is only one accessible restroom, located on the other side of the building. For those who are less mobility-impaired, can walk down stairs, and do not require a spacious restroom, it is less of a hassle.

Good accessibility and facilities both indoors and outdoors. Outside, there are designated parking spaces for people with disabilities. The box office is on the first floor and the auditoriums are on the second floor, with an elevator and escalator between floors. There are accessible restrooms and wheelchair spaces in the auditoriums.

Concert halls
Harpa
Good accessibility; the building has several accessible restrooms and elevators between floors. Designated parking spaces are available in the parking garage.
Accessibility in the halls varies; in some, there are loose chairs, making it easy to sit in a wheelchair at the end of a row or simply remove one chair to place the wheelchair there. In Eldborg, Harpa's main hall, there are 4 free wheelchair spaces at the end of sections B and D. Seats for wheelchair users can also be reserved in various locations throughout the hall for ticketed guests. Please note that if wheelchair seating is required, you must contact the box office in advance, i.e., before arriving on site.
People who use hearing aids benefit significantly from a tone-masking system or a comparable system that is used to reduce extraneous sounds and improve listening. Such equipment is available for use at Harpa. Please notify the box office when purchasing tickets if you require the use of this equipment.
If assistance for the blind and visually impaired is required, guests are kindly requested to notify the box office in advance.
People with disabilities have access to free parking spaces in the parking garage. The Reykjavík City History Museum began operations on June 1, 2014, and includes the Árbær Museum, Aðalstræti, the Reykjavík Maritime Museum, the Reykjavík Photograph Collection, and Viðey.
