Sjálfsbjörg is seeking participation from its members in a short survey about assistive devices and their accessibility in Iceland.
Assistive devices are crucial for the independence, functionality, and participation of people with disabilities in society. Therefore, it is important for Sjálfsbjörg to have a clear picture of its members' experiences – what is going well, what can be improved, and what changes people want to see.
We want to know, among other things:
• What assistive tools club members use.
• Where or from whom the assistive devices are obtained.
• How people experience access to assistive devices.
• Whether people had to wait a long time for an assistive device or a repair.
• What changes members most want to see.
The results will be used in Sjálfsbjörg's advocacy efforts and in discussions with the government about improvements in assistive technology.
The survey only takes a few minutes and is an important part of communicating the experiences and perspectives of the members.
