A twelve-week health and fitness challenge starts on June 1st.
A fitness and health program focused on members with disabilities begins on June 1 and runs for twelve weeks, with a focus on EXERCISE-NUTRITION & SLEEP. This is a true summer challenge that begins around the end of May/early June, so don't hesitate—sign up at the email address. arna@sjalfsbjorg.is. The course is free for members of the Self-Help Association. The Summer Challenge is suitable for people with limited mobility who are just starting to exercise, and for those who want to train for the Reykjavik Marathon on August 23.
The challenge is structured as follows:
A 12-week exercise plan for people with limited mobility will be posted on the challenge's Facebook group and emailed to individuals who register for the campaign. Registration at the email address. arna@sjalfsbjorg.is
The training plan is divided into two parts: one for those aiming to push themselves, run, or walk the Reykjavik Marathon at the end of the challenge, and the other for those who are just starting out and want to build strength and improve their health. The strength training program is structured in such a way that everyone should be able to use it.
Weekly, there will be fun bonus challenges related to health and a healthy lifestyle, along with education and good advice designed for people with mobility impairments to improve their health.
We hope that fun and useful discussions will arise, and that participants will help each other share good advice and become an inspiration to others.
Now is the opportunity – take part and put yourself first!
All Self-Help Association members are encouraged to participate, anywhere in the country!
