ÖBÍ – Rights Associations is convening a meeting with civil society organizations to discuss preparations for the winter session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, which begins on February 24. This will be the Council's first session since Iceland took its seat on the Human Rights Council at the turn of the year for the 2025-2027 period.
Einar Gunnarsson, Iceland's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, is participating in the meeting along with representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister's Office's steering group on human rights.
The meeting will be held at the Human Rights House at Sigtún 42 on Thursday, February 6th at 10:00 AM.
