Exercise in water is healthy and good for most people

Exercising in water is a good option for people with mobility impairments and for anyone who wants to improve their physical and mental health. In the winter, many people with mobility impairments have difficulty exercising outdoors. A good way to get some exercise is to use swimming pools.

The Sjálfsbjörg Swimming Pool at 12 Hátún has open hours for everyone on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

The pool is warmer than public pools, making it especially suitable for people with musculoskeletal problems or simply for water exercise, where all movement becomes easier and therefore more convenient.

You can buy single sessions or a six-month pass, valid from January to June.
