A new chair for throwing events has been put into use in Selfoss

Suðri – the sports department for the disabled at the Selfoss Youth Association has put a new chair for people with mobility impairments into use for training and competing in throwing events. The chair allows athletes to participate in shot put, discus, javelin, and hammer throw, and is designed in accordance with the standards of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). The chair was built with support from Vélsmiðja Suðurlands, Kristján Sæmundsson, and Mjólkursamsalan in Selfoss.
