Western Land

The municipalities in Vesturland are nine and are all in Association of Municipalities in Westland (SSV).

SSV works for the interests of the municipalities in Westland, particularly in employment, economic, educational, planning, transportation, and social affairs. Their goal is to enhance cooperation among the municipalities and to strengthen the region's standing in society.
