North East

Association of Municipalities and Economic Development of East Iceland,was established in 2020 through the merger of Atvinnuþróunarfélag Eyjafjarðar, Atvinnuþróunarfélag Þingeyinga, and Eyþings. The organization's area of operation is defined by the municipal boundaries of all municipalities in North East Iceland, from Siglufjörður in the west to Bakkafjörður in the east, excluding the Tjörnes municipality.
