Múlaþing (Borgarfjarðarhreppur, Djúpavogur, Fljótsdalshérað and Seyðisfjörður)
Múlaþing is a municipality that was created by the merger of four smaller municipalities in East Iceland in 2020. They are Borgarfjarðarhreppur, Djúpavogshreppur, Fljótsdalshérað, and Seyðisfjarðarkaupstaður.
Each of these municipalities has a so-called local board. Local boards are standing committees within the municipality of Múlaþing and operate on behalf of the municipal council. Each home board has three members and is supported by a staff member who represents the mayor in the respective area.
The municipality operates from four offices, information about which can be found on the municipality's website.
Services for individuals with disabilities are provided by Social Services of Múlaþing. The homepage also features a Resident Portal (My Pages) where you can interact with the municipality regarding applications.
