Northwest

The municipalities in North West Iceland are seven and they are in Association of Municipalities in North West Iceland (SSNV). The association's objectives include, among other things, working on the interests of municipalities in North West Iceland, fostering cooperation between municipalities, and promoting the development of the business community in North West Iceland.

Issues concerning people with disabilities belong to the Rætur municipal association, which was specifically established for that purpose.
